An important step for the project PIAC – Palestinian International Arbitration Chamber – promoted and financed by Italian Cooperation and the Region of Umbria. It opens in Ramallah the first course for arbitrators which he had received in the month of January 140 requests for participation in the courses.
After the intervention of the President of the Palestinian Association of engineers, Ahmad Edaily, and the Project Manager, Moreno Caporalini, about the importance and the role of Palestinian International Arbitration Chamber, began so with a lecture by Prof. Ahmad Mohammad Taha Alsaid, about arbitration and the role of referees, the course for the first group of 40 participants. The schedule of educational activities begins today, Monday February 10, and will end next Monday, February 17. The lessons will focus in fifty hours and will be treated topics such as: arbitration law (procedures and practice), international arbitration and related experience in Arab countries, local arbitration law (the procedures of PIAC), international contracts, arbitration clauses in the basic elements and contracts for construction or civil works of geniuses. To keep the lessons will be Professors arbitration experts from all Palestinian territories, Egypt and Europe. The repertoire is made up of professional participants in the first course and composed of lawyers, engineers and professionals from all Palestinian territories, including six women.
